Arsenal and Tottenham keen on signing €80-100m-rated La Liga attacker

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are on signing Samu Omorodion at the end of the season.

According to a report from Fichajes.com, both London clubs are impressed with the performances of the 20-year-old attacker this season. He is currently on loan at Deportivo Alaves from Atletico Madrid. Omorodion has nine goals and an assist to his name in all competitions.

The player has a release clause of €80-100 million in his contract and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to pay up for him.

It is no secret that Arsenal need to bring attacking reinforcements this summer and the 20-year-old would be a quality long-term investment for them. Gabriel Jesus has struggled to score goals consistently, and he has found the back of the net just four times in the league.

Arsenal need to bring in an upgrade on the Brazilian and Omorodion would be a future prospect for them.

However, the asking price seems quite steep for a player who is largely unproven at the highest level, and Arsenal will probably hope to sign him for a more reasonable price.

Tottenham want Samu Omorodion

Similarly, Tottenham need a quality centre forward this summer. They chose not to replace Harry Kane at the start of the season, but they are missing a reliable finisher in their ranks. The 20-year-old La Liga striker could prove to be a quality addition.

However, it is fair to assume that Tottenham will not be able to afford the reported asking price. Atletico Madrid will have to sell the striker below his release clause in order for the move to go through. It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

The 20-year-old could be tempted to move to England if Arsenal and Tottenham can provide him with ample time. He might not be a regular starter for Atletico Madrid next season, and therefore a permanent exit from the Spanish club could be on the cards.
