West Ham regular starter could leave the club as Moyes wants Italian as replacement

West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal’s time at the club as a member of the starting line up is close to coming to an end.

For the most part, Coufal has performed admirably for the Hammers this season, but he recently angered the supporters by implying that the London Stadium faithful expect too much.

Manager David Moyes trusts the right-back but he has no other option and that is why Coufal might be given the opportunities. But all of that could be about to change.

West Ham eyeing move for a new right-back

Raoul Bellanova, a right-back for Torino, is reportedly very much on West Ham’s radar. To sign him this summer, the Hammers will have to spend almost £21 million, according to a report from Toro News.

The Italian is a versatile full-back who can be useful in attack as well as in defense. If the Italian joins the club, Coufal might be sold or his playing time could be severely limited.

Vladimir Coufal to leave West Ham this summer?

It is undeniable that the Czech Republic international lacks the quickness and agility necessary to be a top-tier full-back in the Premier League.

The defender is going to be 32 in the summer and it could be the perfect time to sign a replacement of him.

Coufal has been crucial for West Ham but it could be time to move on

The right-back has made 34 starts for West Ham this season, only James Ward-Prowse has made more starts for the Irons.

Having made six assists in the Premier League this season, Coufal has shown how good he can be but he lacks consistency that a young full-back can provide.

Bellanova is exactly the kind of player who would suit West Ham and give them an attacking outlet from wide spaces.
