Mohamed Salah becomes first Liverpool player ever to hit landmark with latest goal

Liverpool were comfortable 6-1 winners against Sparta Praha in the Europa League on Thursday night and the match saw Mohamed Salah make history for the Merseyside club.

The Egypt star added the third goal on the night for Jurgen Klopp’s men and that strike saw the player hit a very impressive landmark.

Salah has become the first player in the Premier League club’s history to score 20+ goals in all competitions for seven successive seasons.

The winger has 20 goals and 13 assists during the current campaign so far, despite missing almost two months through injury.

Salah has cemented his place as a Liverpool legend forever and has shown no signs of slowing down this season.

This is a monumental achievement for the 31-year-old to have attached to his career as there have been some incredible names to wear the red shirt of Liverpool.

Liverpool need to offer Mohamed Salah a new contract

Although he is turning 32 this year, Salah has shown once again this season that he is still Liverpool’s biggest goal threat.

The Egyptian superstar is out of contract at Anfield in 2025 and if he doesn’t sign a new one, this summer would be the ideal time to sell him.

The winger is the subject of heavy interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, who attempted to sign the Liverpool star last summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the Saudis plan to return for the Reds star ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and if their offer is a massive one, the Merseyside club could accept.

Although this would give the new manager a large transfer budget to work with to build the team he wants, it is hard to find players of Salah’s quality and it would be safer for Liverpool to get the superstar tied down to a new deal.
