Jamie O’Hara has his say on West Ham appointing 48-year-old famous manager

The next couple of months are crucial not just to West Ham’s immediate future, but also to that of their manager, David Moyes.

The Scot has steered the Hammers to yet another Europa League Round of 16 tie, and though they’ve been well off the pace in 2024, if they’re able to land another European trophy, his legend in East London will be assured.

That said, and despite the magnificent Europa Conference League final victory against Fiorentina last season, it’s believed that a large portion of the Hammers faithful want Moyes out.

Moyes ‘would be mad’ to walk away from West Ham

It appears that he’s still yet to make a decision on what to do next, though West Ham Zone report that he has been offered a new deal by the Irons, he just hasn’t signed it yet.

The site also note that when a caller rang into talkSPORT to speak to Jamie O’Hara, there was a small exchange regarding Graham Potter, who is believed to have been linked with the job recently.

“What about Potter?” he said after the caller had suggested that Moyes should remain in charge.

“He (Moyes) ain’t leaving. It’ll be interesting. I think he’d be mad to walk away from West Ham,” O’Hara added soon after.

The issue for Moyes would appear to centre around the way in which his teams play football.

It’s clear that he’s able to get a tune out of his players when he needs to, however, unless he starts playing the ‘West Ham way,’ he’s never going to be flavour of the month on the terraces.

  1. It’s funny how moyes can change tactics when he’s in danger of being sacked he will be feeling very pleased with himself after the win against Brentford we have seen this before from moyes and then when he elevates the pressure on him he reverts back to negative style that causes the problem in the first place he thinks he is bullet proof at our club the owners need to show him the door after putting him in his place

    1. No suprise there Kudos even watch us we will win (against Brentford) why on earth can’t we play like that all the time. Except maybe against top teams but we should certainly be attacking the lesser teams it looked to me Brentford had no idea how to stop us so on to Everton have a go at them Moyes

  2. Of Moyes would be mad to walk away. I hope he does though! He’s never getting a job like that again and especially with that amount of transfer kitty to spend.

  3. Moyes should tell West Ham to go do one, he has been treated terribly by their toxic fans. many of whom appear to live in La La land. Three consecutive European qualifications, one trophy, no relegations (unlike golden era manager Lyall who took them down twice) and they currently sit 8th in the PL. Is it no wonder other fans consider the Moyes out Brigade as disengaged from their brain cells? It is no coincidence that West Ham fail to attract star quality in terms of players/coaches because they don’t want to deal with the toxic abuse that pours out from the terraces and if they do get the odd star player they soon scarper off. Perhaps the West Ham fans want to focus on getting behind their team and ditch the whining and bitching, which only serves to undermine confidence in the dressing room.

    1. You sound like a Spud if you like watching shit footbIall. If David Moyes was to play attacting football, entertaining football, then there wouldn’t be a problem from the fans. 8th in the league, that’s only happened from the good start we had, it wasn’t due to the style of football, the football has been horrendous to watch this season.
