Tottenham eyeing £15m move for Leeds United star

Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful of signing Robin Koch for a modest fee following Leeds United’s relegation to the Championship.

That’s according to a recent report from Football Insider, who claims the Lilywhites are keen on adding a new defensive player to their squad in time for next season.

With just 12 months left on his Elland Road contract, and Leeds United now set to play in England’s second tier next season, Koch, 26, who has been regular under all of the club’s managers, is one player likely to remain in the Premier League.

In need of money to reinvest in the playing squad in order to secure a quick return back to the big-time, it certainly wouldn’t be surprising to see the Whites cash in on the German while they still have the chance – and the defender’s potential sale is believed to be worth just £15m.

As for Tottenham, with chairman, Daniel Levy not known for his overspending, shrewd options are often preferred ahead of ‘Galactico-style’ signings, and that’s where Leeds United’s number five could tick a lot of boxes.

During his three years in Yorkshire, Koch, who has represented Germany on eight occasions, has featured in 77 matches in all competitions.
