Manchester City’s confidence is shrinking as they believe they won’t be able to sign Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund this summer.
That’s according to Football Insider, who claim that City have had their eyes on Bellingham for a while now.
It certainly comes as no surprise that Pep Guardiola’s side is feeling this way, the England international looks as if he will join Real Madrid.
90Min.com reported a couple of days ago that the 19-year-old had agreed personal terms with Los Blancos and told Dortmund about his decision.
The midfielder is certainly impressing many at such a young age and the stats show that. He ranks in the top 2% for non-penalty goals scored and 1% for successful take-ons (FBref).
Should City be looking to bring a new central midfielder this summer then they’ll have to go back to the drawing board and strategise some new targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
