‘There’s clearly something’ – Journalist claims Gracia doesn’t like Leeds striker

Posted by

Journalist Beren Cross has discussed the ongoing situation with Wilfried Gnonto falling out of favour at Leeds United, suggesting there must be an issue with manager Javi Gracia.

Gracia recently replaced Jesse Marsch as Leeds boss and the jury is still out over whether he’s quite the right choice to get the club out of the relegation battle they find themselves in.

One major talking point is not making more use of a talent like Gnonto, who had made a great start to life at Elland Road.

Speaking on a live stream, Cross said: “There’s clearly something in Gnonto that he just doesn’t quite fancy.

“I don’t know what it is because for me, again that first goal is just typical Gnonto, that’s what he brings to the team with the assist that he gave to Harrison.

“So it was strange but there’s clearly something there in Gnonto that Gracia just doesn’t quite fully like.”

  1. Don’t understand what Gracias problem is Willy makes things happen and we are clearly a stronger side with him in so wish he would disclose what the problem is

  2. Mountain out of a molehill comes to mind, he brought him off to strengthen the defence after being 2up, clearly likes him otherwise would have started Summerville

  3. I have been saying even during Mersch reign that my little Maradona Gnonto needs to be managed intelligently to take account of his speed and skill yes. But ALSO of his age, and the fact that teammates seem to only go via him. Nit to mention opposition akways double up in him . End of this he day he is only a teenager still.

Telling factor fir me was the huge warm embrace given by GRACIA to Gnonto after the whistle amidst all the celebrations

  4. Sounds like another Cantona situation can’t
Handle big players we will let someone have
    Him cheap

  5. Making a story from nothing
Just because he’s thinking he can do more to help when he comes off,but he isn’t the manager,I thought he took him off and went defensive too early because wolves were been split on every break and nobody picked Traore up after Gnonto went off

  6. I don’t think there’s owt wrong, just utilising the players he’s got. Did you see Will n Gracia hugging each other after Rodrigo’s goal and at the final whistle
