Nike respond as Mason Greenwood adds the company to his Instagram bio

Posted by

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood recently added Nike back to his Instagram bio after charges against him were dropped.

Greenwood has been suspended by Manchester United for over a year now due to multiple charges placed against him.

However, those charges have now been dropped and Greenwood saw it as an opportunity to add Nike back to his Instagram bio.

However, Nike have now told The Mirror that Greenwood remains no longer their athlete after they dropped him last year after he was arrested.

  1. Let he who has no fault be the first one to cast a stone, why is english football being so hard on a poor lady? Life lesson are life experiences,
Whether you saw and heard his the video clips of bad behaviour, tell you what? It’s all in the past and certainly we can not shape his future based on that, still young and definitely needs our support and help to become a better person

    1. I TOTALLY AGREE EVERY ONE NEED A 2ND CHANCE WHAT ABOUT CORRUPT CLUB DIRECTOR’S THEY ARE STILL MANAGING CLUBS

      1. People go on about 2nd chances the charges were dropped so he was never charged so he was innocent so 2md chance in what???

        1. He was charged and I will tell you what. Having charges dropped does not mean that he was innocent. Also mason Greenwood will remain on the PNC ( police national computer) and police local database until he is 100 years old. This is the norm for anyone and everyone who is charged with serious criminal offences ( whether the charges against them are withdrawn or not) they still remain on the PNC and local police database. Greenwood will be listed on the police databases as an alleged sexual predator, a woman beater, a violent, aggressive man. This will impact his employment and career indefinitely

    2. You spoke well probably the best comment so far on this greenwood saga! Everyone has a stain to their names let’s forget about what happened and pray he comes back and produce more on the pitch.im a Liverpool fan but mahn Greenwood is good and missing talent needed in the man squad

      1. He HAS got a second chance, he’s not in jail… listen to the tapes… he simply CANNOT be allowed to be a representative of Manchester United , he’ll be cash rich so bye bye

        1. It shouldn’t matter which team anyone supports. Any person capable of attempting to rape a woman, threatening to kill a person, severely beating a person AND repeatedly ignoring the instructions given by the court should not want that player anywhere near their team regardless of whether that player is a good player or not. Would these people who want Greenwood to return to United want a known rapist living next door to them? Would these people who want Greenwood to return to United want a known sexual predator living next door to them?? I doubt very much that they would, however but because Greenwood is a United player they seem to think that all should be forgiven and forgotten. Some people seem to think that because the charges against Greenwood were dropped that it means Greenwood is innocent. That is also untrue

    3. I hope you would be so forgiven I someone acted that way towards your sister/daughter/mother.
      God bless you.

    4. Absolute tosser the bloke was bang out of order and I am sure if he wasn’t a rich entitled footballer he would be banged up by now

  2. Nah guy. There’s gotta be consequences to our actions. He should not wanted to play in English football again. Sure he could go to Qatar or China or somewhere else. But the premier league has a strong stance against racism and against violence

    1. Charges were brought against him but were dropped. Because Greenwood was charged with multiple serious offences he will remain on the PNC and local police database listed as a sexual predator, an alleged rapist, woman beater, violent abuser and in fact everything that he was charged with will be listed on the PNC and local police database until Greenwood is 100 years old. It’s irrelevant whether he had his charges against him dropped, the fact that he was initially charged with multiple serious offences, appeared in court with those offences, held on remand with those offences, breached his bail conditions because of those offences, then he will remain on the PNC and local police database. This is the norm for anyone and everyone who commits serious offences in the UK.

  3. Will all cases put forward against him by the court be dropped if he was found guilty of the offense he was charged for the answer is no, if that is the case it means he did not commit the offense so it is only normal for MU to do their investigation and welcome him back to the club to chase his dream and I believe he has already learnt his lesson to stay far away from women, a word is enough for a wise.

    1. It doesn’t mean he did not commit the offence. The charges against Greenwood were dropped because WITNESSES refused to give evidence against Greenwood. That meant the case against him could no longer continue. That doesn’t mean that he didn’t commit the offence.
Let’s not also forget that United need to investigate Greenwoods conduct. He was previously sent home by Gareth Southgate whilst on England duty due to his inappropriate behaviour. Then just months later Greenwood puts the club into disrepute with this matter, which was unresolved in the court. Manchester United have absolutely every right to terminate Greenwoods contract due to putting the club into disrepute and pay him nothing whatsoever and Greenwood couldn’t do anything at all about it but move on. IF anyone at all would want him

  4. Just because the charges have been dropped does not mean that he is innocent of the crime! Let’s think about that also.

We will never know the truth, but I did hear the voice recordings and I personally didn’t like how he spoke.

I hope he has learnt his lesson and realised how lucky he is.

    1. If he is not proven guilty he is 100% innocent. That is the law of the land that you choose to live in. If that is an issue you should perhaps think of living in a country where guilt is presumed and innocence has to be proven. However, make sure you think very hard about whether that is a regime you genuinely want to live under.

      1. That is not true at all. The charges against Greenwood were dropped. He never faced these charges in the court of law so was not proven innocent. Because Greenwood was charged with multiple serious offences he will remain on the PNC ( police national computer) and local police database) until he is 100 years old. This is the norm for anyone who is charged with serious offences. On the police national computer Greenwood will be listed as an alleged sexual predator, woman beater, violent offender . Everything that he was charged with will be listed. Just because the charges against Greenwood were dropped does NOT mean that Greenwood was innocent at all. No one needs to move to another country either because the law in the UK does NOT state that if any charges against a person is dropped/ withdrawn then that person are 100% innocent. If you think that is the case please state where in the law of this land I could find that!
There absolutely is NO law which states a person having any charges dropped against them are 100% innocent. If, in the future the CPS could at anytime reconsider this case against Greenwood and could bring these charges, along with additional charges ( if Greenwood was to further offend).

  5. Ok so people heard the tapes which I did also. But what you got to remember nowadays is there is a lot of roleplay within sex. Think about that before judging on the recordings. Could of been RP and they had a bad fallout and she tried to use it as an opportunity to get money from a future world class footballer. NEVER judge a book by its cover on in this case by a recording that could be rp

  6. Simple question, Would you want MG dating your daughter/sister or any female friend?

If the answer is Yes-seek help

  7. Chargers were dropped because the woman withdrew the Chargers not because he’s innocent on the scrapheap I hope.

  8. Some of you lot seriously need to think about what you are writing on this page.
He is supposed to be a role model for our kids!
Im all for rehabilitation and 2nd chances but not as a footballer who is in the spotlight!
I dont knlw what has happened behind closed doors but I have listened to the recordings and I will not be raising my child to think that is acceptable!

  9. Charges dropped not because he’s innocent but because its took this long to get to court hes either intimidate, bribed or bullied her to drop the charges 🤷‍♂️

  10. Man U would be foolish if the take him back as they would lose out on a lot of sponsorship and he would be a target for all the other fans

  11. You can hear the away supporters chants already. Off to Bestikas it is then, China perhaps or maybe a nice time to be had with Ronaldo in an Emirate.

  12. Everyone saying charges where dropped because he has paid people off etc. Not heard one person mention the new information that came forward.
