Arsenal ready to meet £25million asking price to seal attacker transfer

Arsenal are reportedly chasing two signings from Championship club Brentford this summer.

The Gunners are said to be willing to meet the £25million asking price of winger Said Benrahma, whilst also chasing goalkeeper David Raya, according to 90min.

Benrahma is a particularly exciting talent, with the Algeria international really catching the eye in the Championship and showing that he could surely shine at Premier League level.

Arsenal may have already signed Willian to bolster their attacking options this summer, but they could perhaps do with landing Benrahma as well to give them a bit more depth in that department.

Given that Nicolas Pepe struggled in his first season at the Emirates Stadium, the addition of Benrahma could be a sensible one to ensure Mikel Arteta is not overly reliant on the Ivory Coast international.

Said Benrahma could be a fine signing for Arsenal

Raya, meanwhile, is said to be in Arsenal’s sights due to doubts over the future of backup ‘keeper Emiliano Martinez, according to 90min.

The report explains that the in-form Martinez could be on his way to Aston Villa, but he’s filled in well during Bernd Leno’s time out injured, so Raya could be a useful signing to take his place.

  1. I thought I have seen the last of our stupidity after we sold our best legs (RVP, Wojciech Szczesny , Serge Gnabry etc). for peanuts. Now some feelers (I hope is not true) are pointing to that direction that our best hand in goal is about to be traded off for one untested and unproven Championship keeper.

We wouldn’t be FA and the Shield winner today if we hadn’t got a classy keeper like Emi to stand in for Leno.
I hope someone can remind these “salesmen” that we lost the 2006 UCL final not to a superior team, but because we had a flappy goal keeper as deputy to Jens Lehmann.

Get rid of the deadwoods in Arsenal but Emi is definitely not one of them.

    1. Word is that Aston Villa wants Emi for £10 million only. Instead of selling him sell Leno to Bayen Munichen for €30 million and keep MI Niles.

      1. Yes, Leno’s a great keeper but we look really assured with Emi in goal and we’d get a much higher fee from selling Leno. Win win.

      1. Brighton lost, lost against Aston villa and a couple of others with martinez in goal more than half of the goals that were concede against leno where because of the defence had it have been martinez it could have been far worse, yes it could have been better who knows. But martinez isn’t better than leno

    2. You forgot. I highly doubt if Leno would have saved one on one twice against Saido mane . I owe the 2 trophies to Emiliano.

    3. True Emi must not go its better to devide games with leno for me Emi is the best between the 2 so far

  2. ….wake up and stop this senseless sales of players who have shown they can bring glory (trophies) to the club and big transfers later to improve d financial status of d club…Emi and Ainsley will be sold only by ‘enemies’ of Arsenal…sell others e.g Socrates, bellerin,
Kolasinac,wilock,Nelson.e.t.c Remember how we messed up selling w/class players for peanuts or nothing (Gnabry,RVP,e.t.c)

    1. just like what i hear i hope it’s not true to sell both good players like that. remember you need more tropy at emirate please stop sell good players like that. if arsenal keep sell them like that arsenal we regret it in tomorrow like etc

    2. I agree with Ken, please Arteta and Edu, do not sell Emi and Ainsly, but sell Bellerin, Leno, Socrates, Willock, Kolasbac, Nelson and replace with seasoned talented prayers. Emi and Ainsly are improving in each game and do not dare to sell them. U will not qualify
for champions league if u sell best players.

    3. Glad there is so much support, Emi has been brilliant and Ainsley was the best player on the field when we won ouir two cups. Yes too many good players have been sold for peanuts and we are still doing it.

  3. my advice pls we should not sell rather to take him loan to aston villa, and macey can be good backup for lenon,so we can raise so money for partey

    1. Yaa am Sam from Uganda un arsenal fan but what l have about imil is a good keeper so we should keep him and Leno as well and am seeing a great feature to arsenal back up thanks

  4. Emi nd AMN,certainly are not saleable players, unless Arsenal management are insane nd under a spell to derailed Arteta’s rebuilding process; i cannot imagine selling 2 players any club will treat like small gods, players with Arsenal DNA who shall ultimately be Arsenal Captain along d likes of Gabriel wen d becomes arsenal player. Gabriel seems to be a replica of d invisible captain, its all over him for those who can see beyond d physical. Arsenal management listen to the voice of reason ,stop going after ‘cash’ leave EMI & AMN ALONE ,those who have ears let dem Hear.!!! we

  5. I think Ainsly and Emi are doing very well please try and keep for the future i feel that will be batter

  6. So, why are Arsenal not trying to offload Sokratis, Mustafi, Torreira, Chambers, even Elneny and Koscielny.

Is it because they are so bad nobody wants them!

We must be able to raise some money offloading that lot. I am even open to Arsenal selling Lacazette. Surely he would bring in a few bob.

As for Leno, for much of the time he played, Arsenal were abject! It was only when Martinez came in that we started to look like a reasonably proficient defensive team.

Why is it that the nucleus of that defense is up for sale. Surely the “Board”, and I use that term loosely, cannot be that so bereft of football acumen that they don’t know this. Do they only see “The Money”.

A bigger cynic than me might think there is something else going on behind the scenes.

Have they noticed that other teams are champing at the bit to get their hands on these players.

My one hope for this season is that the Board concentrate on our number one priority, which must be bringing in a big strong defensive midfielder. Maybe we could load that lot I mentioned on the Deadwood Stage and send them to Atletico Madrid in exchange for Partey.

All we need after that is a replacement for Ceballos and we’re off and running.

    Anything after that is gravy!!!

  7. We dont need Partey. The Egyptian and Guenduzi can do the job. Just need an attacking midfielder to link up the attack.

  8. as a team keeping EMI AND AMN is our first priority as a club ,we have dead wood in our team players that are not performing example ozil, soktras, kolanasic, torreira, nelson, chambers, lets sell those even LENO &holding

    1. Exactly dear. Emi and AMN are the key owners of the two trophies won this month under the goals and captainship of PE-Auba. keeping them should be our utmost priority over all.

  9. it is so fun that a club like ARSENAL cant afford to buy player (partey)for $53 million and be able to keep Ozil who last play football maybe 4/5 months paying him 350 000pounds a week this ridiculous

    1. Hehe its sound bit funny.. But very truth indeed..

Come on gunners, bring Partey.. and our team good enough challenging title this season..

    2. Ridiculous you say..can You afford to pay your worker 350,000k weekly and he’s not doing what you are laying home for.simkatt

  10. Emil should not be sold for any amount. He is better than Leno. And should be given the no:1. Arteta and Edu shouldn’t repeat the mistake of the old if the actually wish the team well. With Emii we are good to go.

  11. We should not sell Emi,he is superb, he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. We sold Fabiasky to Swansea city, and he denied us points when we met on several occasions. Let’s keep him and Niles plz,
